Barry McGuireBarry McGuire came out with the song, "Eve of Destruction," in 1965. This song mocked the fact that 18 year olds were being drafted into the Vietnam War, yet they were not old enough to vote yet, because the voting age at the time was 21.This song came out around the same time that Johnson increased troops, leading to more public outrage and strength in the anti-war movement. It became popular very quickly (Eve of Destruction (song)).
